Saturday, July 17th is an Ozone Alert Day. Ozone levels are forecast to reach the unhealthy for sensitive groups category across New Jersey due to very warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and light south southwest winds. Sensitive individuals, including the very young, the elderly, and persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma, should avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon and early evening hours. Fine particle levels are expected to remain in the moderate category across the Garden State.
