One of the reasons people move to Metuchen, especially young couples wanting to start a family, aside from the tranquil environs is our town’s proximity to pretty much everything. Most distinctive of this is our distance or relative short distance from Manhattan. Long time Metuchen residents I’m sure know NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor line’s schedule by heart – particularly the Saturday morning schedule.
Planning a trip to the city in the coming weeks? Did you know that through the efforts of Friends of the Library, Metuchen residents and library members (+5 other people) get FREE admission (see below) to the American Museum of Natural History? And while you’re in the city, plan to visit other spots, watch a Broadway show and dine in one of the thousands of restaurants. But for us, you know what’s the best thing in visiting New York City? At the end of a tiring visit – It’s leaving the noise and craziness of the big city and coming back home to our little town of Metuchen!

FREE Admission to the American Museum of Natural History

Here’s the note from Friends of the Library
WHO: You! A Metuchen resident and Library member and five other people
WHAT: The Museum of Natural History in Manhattan
WHEN: Anytime, especially now that school is over and we have time to spend doing wonderfully educational things in New York City.
WHERE: Check at the desk to make your reservation to use complimentary pass to the museum.
WHY: Because the Friends of the Library are here to serve the community and are offering this opportunity for your pleasure…and after all this is the Brainy Boro!
In case you didn’t get the memo, the Friends of the Library is offering FREE PASSES to the museum for you and your family. YES, FREE! The feedback from the many families in town who have taken advantage of this opportunity has been positive. Just come to the library and ask for passes and the details, and they will be yours. Enjoy the dinosaurs, the whales, the planetarium, and the endless wonders of the American Museum of Natural History.
