Metuchen’s own Samantha Cook, 23, is starring in JUNIE B. JONES, the Musical LIVE ON STAGE at the Forum Theatre Cultural Arts Center…just a few blocks down the street!
Samantha grew up in Metuchen and is so excited to be playing the title role in Junie B. Jones, the Musical, and to be treading the boards of this local theatre she attended as a child. Samantha is continuing in her father’s footsteps, as he has performed locally at Plays-in-the-Park (Edison, NJ) many times over years, most recently last summer as LordFarquaad in SHREK and King Arthur in SPAMALOT the summer before. Samantha’s mother, Maggy, actually designed and built costumes for the Broadway stage….It is a family business for the Cook’s.
Samantha is no stranger to the stage having performed in many shows over the years – Footloose, Urinetown, Working, Guys and Dolls and Ragtime – all at Metuchen High School. Samantha has studied vocal music education at Oklahoma State University and currently teaches music at the Community Nursery School in Metuchen.
