June 18 marked the opening day of our market’s 2016 Season! New vendors include Marafiki, selling coffee beans, tea, chocolate and other fair trade items. Also joining this year are 2 Chicks with Chocolate offering beverages like coffee, tea, lemonade and water to go with a selection of cupcakes; Mishrun selling delicious chutneys & relishes; and finally we welcome Bang Cookies with specialties like sea salt chocolate chunk, chocolate chunk walnut, white chocolate macadamia nut, triple chocolate, oatmeal raisin, and peanut butter dream. The Shade Tree Commission was be there distributing 50 free Red Maple tree seedlings. Also, representatives of the Metuchen Downtown Alliance were on hand to answer questions. The Market is open From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
