via metuchenschools.org – The 2012 Metuchen Bulldog Football Season was a great success. The team finished the season with 5 wins and 5 losses and made the NJSIAA playoffs. They finished in second place in the Blue Division of the Greater Middlesex Conference.
The Bulldogs developed into a tough, disciplined and physical team. The 2012 Metuchen Football Team played well enough to win a couple more games during the season and although they fell a little short, the experience from those close games will help the Bulldogs win games in the future. The team showed tremendous improvement from a 2011 season which had 2 wins and 8 losses.

The team rallied after starting the 2012 season with only 1 win and 3 losses, but then the Bulldogs turned it around and won 4 out of the next 6 games, including winning four games in a row.

Although there were many great individual accomplishments this season, the highlight for everyone was playing a game in a Blizzard in October. That was the day we upset Middlesex High School, and qualified for the playoffs. After the game the Bulldogs were seen making “snow angels” on the field. It will be a game that will be remembered by everyone associated with the team.
We thank everyone for their support and we are optimistic about the future of the program and we have high expectations for the 2013 football season.
