Edgar Middle School PTO Executive Board

The Edgar Middle School PTO Executive Board hosted a “Welcome Back Coffee” for middle school parents on Wednesday, September 5th. PTO President Kara Harry welcomed nearly 80 parents to this annual September Social. She introduced Executive Board members Illyse O’Connell, Laura Draper, Diane Battaglia, Nancy Fuccile, and acknowledged Cathy Spera who was not present. Principal Kathy Glutz spoke about the successful opening of school and shared information about the middle school’s new Advisory Program, the school goal on Study Skills, and the introduction of the Naviance Program to promote College and Career Readiness. Superintendent of Schools Vincent Caputo also welcomed parents and spoke about the smooth opening of school. This PTO event affords parents the opportunity to join this school support organization, volunteer for committees for the 2012-2013 school year, and network with other parents.
